CRAKK 2021 News 18th Jan

We are receiving several requests along the lines of "Can I enter on the day?" The answer is yes, but you won't get T Shirts, Goodies Bag or Saturday Night dinner. Catering is tight because we must comply with COVID Safe Regulations.

Another frequent question we get is "Can I bring my 1980 Camaro?" The answer is, yes you can, but it won't figure in the running for awards. The CRAKK Run is for ASRF Class Vehicles. That's pretty straight forward, and it's up to the owner/driver to determine whether their car is eligible.

Kids Entertainment

During Sunday Night's Roving Trivia, the kids will be "Custom Crafting." Using only what you have managed to gather over the weekend, craft a Hot Rod or Custom. Some craft gear will be supplied in the kids goodies bag, but the important ingredient here is IMAGINATION! Prizes will be awarded at Presentations on Monday.

Kids Hunt 1 and 2

At 0900 on Saturday and Sunday mornings, we'll be calling all little rodders to participate in the Kids Hunt. The items you are searching for are a well kept secret, and two of the items are 'special.'

Auction Night

Saturday Night is the M&G Auction night. During the band's first break, we'll be auctioning a couple of TIG Welders thanks to M&G Industrial Supplies. Make sure you're there if you want to bag a bargain for your garage! Bring your wallet, or just settle up with the CHRA Treasurer on the night.

NSW Government COVID-19 Requirements

We have finalised our COVID-Safe operations for the weekend in conjunction with the CCHP COVID-Safe Plan. Our COVID-Safe Officer is Les Rice. The rules are simple - QR Code and Declaration. When you arrive at reception for your accommodation, sign in. If you are an Entrant, you only need to do this once. Your armband means that your details are recorded for the weekend.

NOTE! If you have booked accommodation at the CCHP and you have others staying with you, you are responsible for ensuring they are all listed on the declaration. THIS INCLUDES YOUR BUDDIES ON A BUDDY PASS!

If you are NOT entered, you must scan the QR Code and sign the declaration at Reception every day you come to the CCHP. You will be issued a wrist band that's a different colour to the Entrants so that our COVID-Safe Officer knows you have scanned in. Anyone found wandering around without a wrist band will be asked to log in or leave the park.

CRAKK 2021 News, 14th Jan:

The 2021 CRAKK run is going full steam ahead! After a few cancellations, the venue has re-filled with entrants from the regions. The proposed itinerary remains unchanged, but 'fluid.'

Choose a Krooze

With the ACT borders now open to regional NSW, the Chooze a Krooze can proceed. If you are not going to the Skid Pan on Saturday, you have a choice of two venues:

Kids Entertainment

We have a record number of Little Rodders for 2021, so we have doubled up on entertainment for your rug-rats. Bring along your matchbox cars or your Rocker Cover for racing down the Rocker Cover race track. Got a cool bike? Bring it along for the Dukes' Bike Show n Shine. The Remote Controlled Car races are on again, so charge up the batteries and bring your RC cars along for Sunday's racing.

Kids Hunt 1 and 2

Our famous 'treasure hunt' is on again, only this time there's TWO! One on Saturday, one on Sunday. We can't tell you what the items are that the kids will be hunting for, but two of them are 'special.' For each hunt, three prizes will be awarded - the two 'special' things, and one for whoever gathers the most. You'll get instructions each morning on the hunt.

Major Raffle and Prizes

The Major Raffle prize is a Hot Rod trailer supplied by Resort Trailers in Queanbeyan. The Early Entrant's Prize is a Kincrome 94 piece portable workshop toolkit thanks to Capital Bearing Supplies. The Major Entrant's Prize is a Spitwater HC12180P Cold Water Cleaner thanks to Tractor Replacements.

Tool Box Key, Guessing Competitions

Another 'raffle' will be the sale of keys for the two locked toolboxes. Inside the toolboxes are special prizes, one for boys and one for girls. On Sunday during the presentations, you will have the opportunity to try your key in the lock. If it opens, the toolbox, and everything in it, is yours! Watch out for Key Sales at registration. There will also be jars of.....things. Guess how many things are in the jar, and you win it!

Karnival Kuisine

Dagwood dogs, pizza, donuts, fairy floss, hot dogs, chips, slushies, baked spuds, and more will all be on sale over the weekend from vans scattered around the park. A coffee van will also be available, because we can't provide the help-yourself coffee from past CRAKK runs.

CRAKK 2021 News, 12th Jan

Note: CCHP=Capital Country Holiday Park.
COVID Safe NSW

COVID regulations have not changed at this time. The COVID Safe Plan requires everyone entering the park to COVID register. Entrants will COVID register at Reception at the CCHP when checking in for their accommodation and at Registration, but spectators, friends and visitors MUST scan the CCHP QR Code and complete the COVID Safe form at CCHP reception.

Skid Pan

The Skid Pan is STILL ON at this time! The ACT Borders have relaxed a little, and driving to and from the venue should be clear. There are still a few spots available should you change your mind on the day and decide to do some 'driver training skids'. See us at Registration if you haven't signed up and want to have a go.

Show n Shine

We had scheduled the Show n Shine to take place at Queanbeyan Park. Unfortunately, the regulations for 'public spaces' stipulate maximum capacity at 100 people. Until that is relaxed, the Show n Shine will take place at the CCHP. We will keep in touch with Queanbeyan Council and if anything changes....well, watch this space!

Late Entries

Anyone entering on the day must show proof of residence at registration to the COVID Safe Officer (Les Rice or a CCHP staff member). T Shirts, Goodies Bags and the Saturday Night Rockin' Burger cannot be guaranteed (in other words, they are fully catered). For your entry fee, you will get breakfasts, Friday sausage sizzle/beverage and Farewell Hot Dogs.

Prizes

We have been given some fantastic prizes to give away to entrants that participate in the 'Official Kroozin' on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Check your book of the run for Bree's Give-away times and Kroozin' Themes! Saturday is 50s gear, Sunday is Hawaiian Shirts!

Crakk 2021 News, 10th Jan

We are aware that information has been posted on FB by people outside of the committee that is incorrect. This web site is the place for official information and updates.

Be aware also that some information from committee members has been altered.

At this stage, everyone entering the park MUST COVID register. Entrants will COVID register at Registration. Spectators and friends/visitors MUST, at the very least, scan the CCHP QR Code and/or complete the COVID Safe form at CCHP reception. This will be confirmed closer to the event date. Anything can happen in the space of a day!

It was clearly advertised that early entries closed on the 15th December and T Shirts and Goodies bags could NOT be guaranteed after that date. We will endeavour to accommodate your preferred size but, as stated earlier, they cannot be guaranteed.

Online entries closed at midnight on the 10th January

If you had planned to enter the 2021 CRAKK run, we would prefer that you DO IT NOW! This makes it easier for the organising committee and the park management to manage activities, vehicle movement and catering in the park under the ever changing COVID regulations.

Oh, and while I have your attention, when coming to the CRAKK run this year, you need to bring with you the following:

CRAKK 2021 News 4th Jan

Message from Danny Fort - CRAKK Coordinator 2021Well who would have thought this would still be affecting our country far and wide.

We said we would have a CRAKK at delivering some kind of run, and that is still our aim. We always said, COVID permitting, and we plan to still provide what we can.

For information for our entrants, we plan to hold the majority of our activities inside the Capital Country Holiday Park, and will work within the guidelines. We ask the same of you. We need you to help us out by promising to do the same. This includes safe distancing at all times.

The CCHP is in NSW. We do not plan to travel into ACT.  This also means you won't be able to duck off to the supermarket down the road.  So please come prepared. Bring whatever you need for your family with you.

What we WILL do, is provide your breakfast each day - which will be served differently and on a take-away basis. We WILL have food options available for your other meals (in addition to our pre-baked burger and fries on Sat night) from 'Karnival Kuisine' Food vendors on site. We may still have the band, but WILL at the very least have some music for you - you just can't dance! We WILL have some activities for the kids and some fun activities from  a distance. You WILL still have a CRAKKER of a weekend at our 'Clayton's' CRAKK 21.

But of course we also understand you need to do whatever is best for your family, so we will sort a cancellation for you, no problem. (except for the Tshirts which have already been ordered).

The COVID guidelines are changing daily and its a bit hard to understand it all. We are providing some guidelines as they stand today, but you need to keep an eye on what is relevant for you and your area. If, as a result of escalating issues with COVID, we need to call it all off, we will make that final call on Jan 14.

Keep checking the chra.org.au web site for updates. Contact us if you need further info,  Thanks, Danny!
